Zion Field Trip

Zion went on a field trip to Volkening Heritage Farm with his class here in Schaumburg. I went a long as a chaperone (apparently I was either the BEST chaperone, or the WORST one, depending on if you talk to the kids or to the rather uptight, joyless teacher who helped accompany my group (not Zion's teacher, thank goodness). Anyway, my group had fun making butter, milking a cow, doing laundry the old-fashioned way, ploughing the garden, and picking the dandelions. Here are some pictures!

Zen at 6 months!

Zen celebrated his 6 month birthday yesterday. Favorite pastimes: watching brother Zion and Jedi (mom and dad are a distant 3rd and 4th), sticking all things in his mouth, rolling around on the rug, spending time in his exercise saucer, and trying desperately to crawl.

Jedi and Zion Growing Together

Jedi is 80 lbs and counting at 10 months old, outweighing Zion by about 8 lbs. Luckily, she's a sweet, gentle girl.

Take Me Out to the Ball Game

I may have gotten my Cardinals T-shirt before my Sox shirt, but I'm a Chicago White Sox fan above all! I look forward to joining my brother Zion as he eats his way through the ball park, which everyone knows is the BEST thing about going to a baseball game :-)
